2025 Manufacturing Day
June 2, 2025
This year’s Butler County Manufacturing Consortium’s 2025 Manufacturing Day was kindly hosted by Butler Intermediate High School. The event included a jam-packed day to raise awareness for 8th grade students in Butler County. These students from Butler Area School District were joined by students from Ryan Gloyer Middle School and Knoch Middle School who traveled to participate in the Manufacturing Showcase event. Students, teachers, and employers alike had a fun-filled day discussing the manufacturing industry. There were also discussions about the different companies that were there and what they manufacture and the types of opportunities available in the area for manufacturing.
The morning began with the Student Advisory Board panel. Students from Butler (Luke Frazer and Blake Boulanger), Knoch (Brooke Bastin and Alex Maliszewski), and Moniteau (Kurt Gindhart and Brianna Sproul) School Districts discussed their thoughts from four facility tours of JSP, Cygnus Manufacturing, Oberg, and Butler Technologies. Different employers submitted questions to gain a students perspective of their tours, the manufacturing industry, and the workforce.
During the day the 8th grade students were then broken into groups to walk through the showcase. Sixteen employers participated in this year’s event, allowing students to hear from a variety of different types of manufacturers.
Thank you to the following companies that participated this year:
Oberg Industries | Du-Co Ceramics | Coherent | BCAVTS |
