America Makes’ COVID-19 Response Update

Dear Industry Partners,

In the midst of the COVID-19 response, America Makes has partnered with the FDA, Department of Veterans Affairs’ and the National Institutes of Health to drive the additive manufacturing (AM) response to help deliver safe and effective Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the health care workforce.

America Makes created an online repository, www.americamakes.us/covid-19, to collect information from across the country, as well as 3D print designs that can be submitted and placed on the fast track for review. Each design will receive a designation and be publicly available on the NIH 3D Print Exchange, which is a critical step to provide the safety and confidence appropriate for clinical settings.

The key to the success of this effort is information – and we are looking to you as our partners to help input your manufacturing (3D Printing) capabilities and designs into the system. Your capability information will be kept private.
