BCMC March Meeting to be hosted by MIU4 Entrepreneurship Academy at BC3

Dear Members:

Hello everyone!  We have rescheduled the February meeting to our next regularly scheduled meeting time of Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 8 AM at BC3.  Please note you will require a BC3 ParkingPass 3-20-19 visitor , please download, print and place on the dash of your car.

We will be meeting with the MIU4 Entrepreneurship Academy at Butler County Community College in the Science and Technology Building Room 218.  Christen Dunn, Instructor and Coach of the Entrepreneurship Academy will be our host. Christen has invited John Golden, the entrepreneur in residence and professor from SRU, who runs the Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator (SEA) student interns from. John may bring some students as well. SEA has two main areas of interest: sustainability and emerging tech when consulting with organizations in the region.  John will address the group at the meeting to inform members about SEA.  A parking pass is required.  It will be sent out at a later date.

The Entrepreneurship Academy is an innovative, unique program of studies for high school seniors in Butler County, PA. Created by Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV (MIU IV), the Entrepreneurship Academy provides a full year of instruction, project-based learning, hands-on activities, and community excursions that allow students to gain insight, experience, and skills foundational in becoming entrepreneurs and community leaders

The agenda will include a planning session for 2019 including meeting dates and times, coordinating job shadowing with the schools, mixers, sponsoring the Chamber Legislative Breakfast, and the BCMC scholarship.
