Tool & Die Maker Die Maintenance
| Work in our Die Maintenance team to apply mechanical and problem solving skills to maintain complex progressive stamping dies; Maintain and repair tools, be able to change over tools as needed and assist in problem solving; read blueprints and job orders to determine machine set-up and operate lathes, mills and surface grinders; Calculate and set controls to regulate factors or enter commands or edit computerized machine control data; verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micometers, gauges |
Job Requirments:
| High school diploma or GED; Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification; previous experience with lathes or mills and a minumum of 2 years surface grinding experience with both steel and carbide; proficient in skills in blueprint reading and using precision measurement tools; excellent math and mechanical aptitude; ability and desire to do precision work; must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand 8- 9.5 hours per day; must be able to work rotating daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts |
